After getting into bed quite late I checked my phone as I set my alarm for the morning to see a message with photos of the Aurora gracing the skies of New Plymouth quite brightly, I knew I had to drag myself back out of bed and head out to try capture it in Tauranga. After shooting at a couple of locations I decided to head up to McLaren's Falls Park where I managed to capture this photo showing the contrast between Aurora and the night sky around 3am.
