As long as humans have existed, we have looked up at the night skies and wondered what was up there above us. Now, in the modern day with telescopes and observatories, we can explore and discover that we are part of a vast universe filled with billions of galaxies, stars and planets, and have the opportunity to explore beyond the earth. I was fortunate to spend the night and capture this image up at the Mt John Observatory, home to NZ’s largest telescope MOA (on the right). Captured centre in this image is the B&C 0.6m telescope.
Finished since 14 days, 20 hours and 38 minutes.
