Between finishing work, packing my camera gear up and driving the little Mazda down the the gravel road to Stoney River only to be met with the classic kiwi rural roadblock all in the hopes that I'd be able to capture the Aurora Australis was a big ask... but WOW, the evening didn't disappoint! I certainly didn't expect the burst of colour thats for sure... I feel so blessed that I was able to witness mother nature put on a show from this iconic location!
