A scene photographed during the Great Aurora Storm of May 2024. Just after 2am on Sunday 12 May 2024, a strong auroral arc formed creating a stunning reflection in the calm waters of Loch Cameron near Twizel. It wasn\'t long before the arc erupted with rays and flaming structures were seen rising horizontally between rays towards the east. Under the arc, curtains can be seen forming. This was a stunning period of activity to observe with the naked eye, but it begged to be captured on camera too.
