Just a few meters in front of Almer Hut, sits this giant rock with a 20-30m drop to the icy rocks below. The perfect spot to explore at 5am, just as the moon rises above the mountains behind us to illuminate the area. In the distance you can see the Tasman Sea, and the Waiho River entrance.
