When the aurora alert came through, I drove three hours north to Karamea hoping to escape the cloud. True to form, it followed me, though in the end I quite like the framing it created. With fast moving clouds, a big bright moon, and a pulsing aurora, sky exposures had to be just one second each to freeze the moment and ensure a seamless stitch.
