Breathtaking sea stacks and a starfish covered reef make Motukiekie Beach one of the most beautiful spots on the West Coast. It’s a tough shot to get, everything has to line up perfectly: low tide, no moon, and clear skies. At the start of the night (well, early morning), I honestly wasn’t sure I’d pull it off. Clouds lingered while I was shooting the foreground, but in true West Coast fashion, they cleared just enough for me to track the sky. Only a handful of people have captured this location, and I’m stoked to finally join the club!
