Taken between Te Waihora and Te Moana Nui a Kiwa during the famous May Aurora Australis show, I wanted to capture the vastness of the colours in relation to me standing on the beach. A composite of sky and foreground, I did have to run up and down the beach a few times and hold still while waiting for the image to be taken. Yes, I may have got wet a couple of times as the waves came in.
