The SAR ARC from the famous Aurora show of 11th May 2024, seen from what I\'d have though an impossible location – Waiake Beach. The Arc is further North than Rangitoto Island itself. Being my local beach, managing to capture this is as rewarding as witnessing your first ever Aurora. Light pollution at this beach is always an issue, hence the lower exposure (2k ISO) and requiring stacking, a tricky balance.
