I planned to shoot the Aurora at Lake Lyndon but, when I was at my other location, I could see that the valley and lake were blanketed in fog. This was supposed to be my last location to photograph before heading home. I spoke to a friend who was at the lake as I was heading down from the hill I was on, and he said it was in fog. So I thought I was out of luck, and decided that the night was over. When I was driving towards the lake, the fog had just cleared and the Aurora was reflecting off the lake with large beams shooting high into the air. I couldn’t believe my luck, and I captured this beautiful scene with the fog around the head of the lake.
