Start of the Great Burst Aurora

Story: This was from the start of the big burst of aurora on that night. A few minutes after this shot was taken there were naked eye visible moving beams reaching way up into the sky. Colour was faintly visible to the naked eye but the camera picked it up really well. It's hard to do justice to how incredible it looked to witness firsthand, but this image gives you a taste of it.
Coincidently this big aurora event was 5 months exactly to the day since the big May 11 aurora storm of 2024.
