I got a clear night with no one using this beautiful telescope, so I had to take the opportunity to open the dome to take some glamour shots. This is the BnC telescope situated on Mount John Observatory. Despite being one of the smaller telescopes ('only' a 24inch RC), it’s a student and staff favourite as its very easy to use and produces great images for astrophotography. One of my favourite things about this telescope is the old-school dials on the base that show the RA/Dec. In this image, I am using them to illuminate the telescope and dome.
Finished since 14 days, 16 hours and 40 minutes.
