I think this photo gives a good visual into our curiosity about the unknown, and the fascinating element of astronomy and our search for answers. The telescope captured in this image is the 0.6m Boller and Chivens telescope at the University of Canterbury Mt John Observatory, which the Japanese-New Zealand MOA (Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics) project used in the late 1990’s.
