The giant geomagnetic 'Mothers' Day' aurora storm of 2024! While on a workshop, the show was beyond imagination. Never in my life did I ever think I would ever capture the aurora to the north above New Zealand's highest peak of Aoraki / Mt Cook! This image has everything, aurora beams, curtains, pillars, the SAR arc not to mention the corona right overhead! It looks like an absolute kaleidoscope of colour due to the massive impact of solar energy hitting and breaching at different heights in our upper atmosphere. A show no one who saw it will ever forget!
