I was lucky enough to see the lunar eclipse from the Aoraki-Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve. The eclipse began in the later hours of the night; it was pretty spectacular to watch the bright moonlit sky turn to dark as the moon passed into the Earth\'s shadow, with thousands of stars appearing overhead. This picture was taken at the end of the eclipse, as the sky began to grow light and the moon set towards the horizon, and it is by far my favourite that I captured that evening.
