The Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex is a beautiful star forming region, less than 400 light years away from Earth. It contains all kinds of colourful nebulae, dust and even globular clusters, including the prominent Messier 4. I captured this image on a crisp winter night as scorpius passed over the zenith.
