The Dragons Of Ara (NGC6188) is a southern hemisphere gem with dark nebula appearing as two dragons duelling. I have showcased this image in a SHO Hubble palette to pull out the intricate details. I had been dreaming of this Image for a while and a great weather window of clear night skies over five nights allowed me to capture this nebula in short time. I had previously shot deep space objects using a mirrorless camera, but I decided to invest in a dedicated set-up to advance my imaging. The advantages of 3nm filters with a mono camera were clear when I shot this DSO through suburban skies. I felt vindicated when I produced this image which I’m sure you will agree with.
Finished since 178 days, 14 hours and 41 minutes.
