Located about 56 million light years away in the constellation Fornax, NGC 1365 galaxy spans more than 200,000 light years, twice the size our Milky Way. At its heart lies a supermassive black hole, millions of times the mass of our Sun, whose activity classifies NGC 1365 as a Seyfert galaxy, a type with a particularly bright and energetic nucleus. What makes NGC 1365 especially fascinating is not just its beauty, but the way its structure reveals the dynamics of how galaxies evolve and how central black holes interact with their host galaxies. It’s both a spectacular sight in the night sky and a natural laboratory for understanding the life cycle of galaxies.
