Having imaged Eta Carina many times in wide field, I decided to explore some of the outer regions with a tighter frame. This area of nebulosity sits somewhat detached from the brightest areas and is often cropped from the frame of Eta Carina wide field images. I have been developing a number of new processing techniques to get the most out of my Edge HD8 before upgrading and have managed to reveal a little more detail than I have previously been able to with this setup.
