I've always loved the Dawson Falls and thought it would make a fantastic spot to shoot the Milky Way. Sadly my first attempt clouded over completely. This time around I quickly discovered that there was a horrendous amount of spray coming off the falls, which I knew wouldn't work for the sky. I ended up shooting the sky separate to the foreground up at the carpark using the direction on a compass with Photopills to work out exactly when I needed to photograph the sky.
