As darkness fell on the evening of 6th August, the thin, 3% illuminated waxing crescent moon, just 1.6 days past new was sinking towards Mount Cargill, one of the hills which embrace Otago Harbour. I quickly set up my camera to record the beautiful sight of the crescent, and Da Vinci's ghost, aka Earthshine, setting in the twilight sky.
