During this pristine night, we had an unexpected visitor, Aurora Australis! This was taken just off the side of the road, facing south as the Milky Way set. Partway through the night, we noticed a faint glow grow stronger. It manifests in the image as a distinctive red glow. As the aurora was very far away, only the deep reds were visible.
