Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park is renowned for its jagged peaks and flat glacial valleys. Facing east of the park, there is one particular mountain, Mt Blackburn, that stands out from the Burnett mountain range. From the valley floor, I captured this image of a snaking river flowing towards the peak and up through the Milky Way's brilliant core region.
