[Artistic] Submission 142955 – Max Inwood

I have photographed the Tasman lake many times over the years, but always found that the darkness of night hid the true beauty of the glacial waters. In this image, I decided that instead of avoiding moonlight, I would use it to illuminate the colours in the lake. There is only a small window to capture this photo each year, as the moon phase needs to be thin enough and in the right part of the sky in order for this composition to work. Thankfully the weather on the night was calm and clear, and I was able to take this photograph.
