tory: It took a bit of hiking and rock hopping to get to this new spot, but the effort paid off with the cloud clearing later in the night for some epic astrophotography. This shot was taken while a 29% crescent moon was still out, so it's helped to illuminate the foreground and given the sky a blueish hue.
Just as I was getting the last shots of the sky for this image the water level rose a significant amount, so I was glad to get finished and move to higher ground before the mini flash flood swamped the spot we were at. (Not sure why the water rose so much so quickly, but I assume that it was related to the days snow melt and a bit of a dam breaching further upriver).
