Went out with my friends on an astro mish in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve back in March. While they brought along all their camera gear, tripods and filters, I simply brought my trusty phone (Samsung Galaxy S22+), made a nice comfy mount for it in the grass and started shooting the Milky Way Core. Around 5am the zodiacal light really started to pop off - its ethereal glow looked amazing beaming up into the Core region. I was really happy with the balance and overall composition of this shot given the rudimentary setup 😅
