My goal was to capture the airglow and the rotation of the southern sky. I wasn’t expecting an aurora, but the airglow was so striking that I kept the camera rolling. Unexpectedly, there are some unusual auroral flashes throughout this 2200-frame time-lapse, adding a surprising twist to the final result.
