The arrival of the CME from an X1.8 solar flare in the early hours of 11th October 2024. Milky Way over Lake Wakatipu and the Moon setting behind Cecil Peak, followed by the first signs of aurora and then, just before 4 am, the arrival of the CME and the aurora dancing in the sky till dawn. Captured from Homestead Bay, Queenstown, NZ. About 3.5 hours, approximately between 3:00 and 6:30.
