Captured on a warm, calm night beneath the southern skies of New Zealand, this image reveals a faint aurora glowing on the horizon alongside beautiful green and orange airglow. It is the largest panoramic astro image I have ever created a nearly 360-degree view of the Milky Way, composed from 88 individual frames.
Using a dual camera setup, the scene combines tracked sky exposures and a carefully balanced foreground to preserve both clarity and atmosphere. The result is a detailed, immersive portrayal of the night sky that celebrates the natural beauty and cosmic light unique to New Zealand’s landscapes.
